SOUTHERN LGBT VOICES

Book Project of Autobiographical Stories

A young woman from here in Alabama, named Brit Blalock, is trying to self-publish a collection of autobiographical stories by LGBT Southerners. Her intention is to have it for sale, and also to donate it to libraries around the Southeast so that it's available for anyone to read. She's asking for donations to help with the initial publishing costs.

Pledges for donations can be made here:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1999984000/as-we-are-lgbt-voices-from-the-bible-belt/

Her goal is to raise $18,000 by December 18th.

We encourage you t view the video.  It is really beautiful and gives a few samples of the types of stories that will be included. A book like this could be a powerful tool in working with clients and students here in Alabama!

I know times are tight for many, especially during the holidays, but I hope you'll consider making a pledge and sharing the link with others who might be interested.
