ALGBTICAL WINTER 2009 WORKSHOPP
Third Annual Event a Huge Success!
February 13 in Birmingham
Theme: The Lived Experience: LGBT Across the Lifespan



ALGBTICAL presented its third annual Winter Workshop on February 13 in Birmingham. The workshop was offered to all counselors statewide. It was an excellent professional development opportunity for any counselor seeking information and resources relevant to the needs of their lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students and clients.

The title of the 2009 Winter Workshop was, "The Lived Experience: LGBT Across the Lifespan."  It was held at the Homewood Public Library.

The workshop featured timely topics, relevant information, useful material, and outstanding speakers.  A roundtable discussion, information tables, and an art auction were also be featured. NBCC-approved CEUs were offered.



The organizers of the workshop are happy to report that the conference was a huge success!  The event was well attended.  Response to the activities was excellent.  Everyone who participated said it was an enjoyable and informative workshop.  Those involved in the planning of the event indicated it was the best ALGBTICAL workshop to date!
